A monthly club for ambitious business owners
The right people. The right room.Doing the right things.
One day a month, away from the day-to-day, with a small group of business owners who hold each other to their word. Community, accountability and real thinking time, built by Jacquie and Dave, run in person.
Founded and run by Jacquie & Dave · Meeting monthly · Birmingham & Hertfordshire
What is the BGA Club
Not a networking event. Not a course.
It’s a standing appointment with your own progress: the same room, the same people, every month. Building a business isn’t one breakthrough, it’s a run of better decisions, and that’s far easier with the right people watching your back.
BGA stands for Business Growth Accelerator. Most business owners grow. They just do it slowly, on their own, learning the expensive way. The club is about speeding that up. That is the accelerator bit.
Community
A protected room of business owners chosen for attitude and ambition, not turnover or headcount. People who want you to win.
Accountability
You say what you’re going to do. A month later, the room asks whether you did it. Nobody else in your business will ask that.
Learning
Time actually set aside to think, away from the inbox, plus the input of a room that has usually already solved your problem.
WHAT IT GIVES YOU
Most people who join aren’t stuck.
They’re ambitious.
They have built something that works. They can see there is more in it. Something is just slowing them down.
Less stress
Two experienced coaches in the room, and a table of owners who have been exactly where you are. You stop carrying it on your own.
More time and freedom
You leave with actions and come back having done them. Things finally get finished, and you get your time back.
More money
Focus on the right things and the money follows. Working harder was never the problem.
You will get further in twelve months of this than in several years of good intentions on your own.
IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?
This is for you if…
Something somewhere is just slowing you down.
- You are ambitious and want your business to grow.
- You have a good business, but the profit does not reflect what you put in.
- You are still the person everything comes back to.
- You would rather not work it all out on your own.
- You want accountability and a plan to keep you on track.
- You enjoy learning from other successful business owners.
- You want more freedom, and to enjoy the business again.
BEING STRAIGHT
And probably not if…
- You cannot give up a full day a month, in person, every month.
- Birmingham and Hertfordshire are both a stretch to reach.
- You are looking for a place to swap leads. This is not a networking group.
- You want a course to work through in your own time.
- You would rather not be asked what happened to last month’s commitments.
- You are not the person who can actually make decisions in the business.
We’re protective about who joins. It isn’t about turnover or business size. It’s about attitude, ambition and a genuine desire to grow.

David Butler
Business growth coach

David has spent more than thirty years in business. His view is that success is about a good deal more than the bottom line. It is about building something that brings you closer to the life you actually want, whatever that looks like for you.
He is direct about what gets in the way. Running a business can feel like an endless to-do list pulling you in every direction, and most owners lose sight of why they started somewhere along the way.
His work is cutting through that noise. Getting clear on where you want to be and why, then building something profitable that serves it rather than swallowing it.
He runs the Hemel Hempstead day at Shendish Manor and the ask-the-coach clinics that go with it. Behind every business is a person with goals and a drive to succeed, and getting owners back in touch with those goals is the whole job.
Jacquie Hale
Business growth coach
Birmingham · New Hall Hotel & Spa

Jacquie built Elite Tents, a tipi and marquee hire business, into the market leader in its field. Fifteen years in a seasonal industry flooded with competitors, and she stayed ahead of all of them.
She did it by putting proper systems into the sales and marketing, getting a firm grip on the numbers, and building a team who could run the day to day without her. Then she went one step further and sold it.
That is the journey she now helps other owners take. She is a business consultant, marketing coach and speaker, and twenty years in teaching mean she is good at breaking things down and keeping people on track.
What drives her is straightforward. She has seen how much lighter life gets when a business finally works for the person who owns it. It comes back to one idea: living life on your T.E.R.M.S. Time, Energy, Resources, Money and Sanity.
WHERE WE MEET
Two rooms. One club.
A private room, one day a month, at both.

QUESTIONS
The things people ask before they apply.
Does it matter what business I’m in?
No. Members come from property, finance, IT, construction, creative work and plenty else besides. What matters is that you want to grow the thing you have built, not what it happens to sell.
Where do you meet?
Two locations, one club. Birmingham meets at New Hall Hotel & Spa in Sutton Coldfield. Hertfordshire meets at Shendish Manor in Hemel Hempstead. Both are private rooms with plenty of on-site parking, chosen so that turning up is something you look forward to rather than endure.
How often is it, and how long is a day?
Once a month, and it is a full day. A full day is the point. Half a day gets you a nice chat, a full day gets you out of the weeds and into the work you never get round to.
What does it cost?
£249 plus VAT every four weeks (£298.80 including VAT), with a minimum twelve‑month commitment so there is time to see real results. Billing runs every four weeks rather than monthly, so that is 13 payments across the year. That covers the monthly day, the coaching clinics, the members’ app and everything in between.
How do I join?
It is an application rather than a sign-up. You tell us a little about your business and what you are trying to do, then one of the coaches speaks with you before anything is confirmed. We are protective about who joins. It is not about turnover or business size, it is about attitude, ambition and a genuine desire to grow.
Can I bring someone else from my business?
Yes. There is an option that covers a second person from the same business, so you can bring the person who actually has to make it happen rather than relaying it second hand.
Who runs it?
Jacquie Hale and David Butler. Both are business coaches, both have built and run their own businesses, and both are in the room every month rather than appearing by video.
MEMBERS
The room, in their words.
What changed after they joined.
I’ve been working with Jacquie and BGA for about 18 months, and the business has completely transformed. We’ve gone from one subcontracted installer to three, and two admin staff with more on the way. It’s completely unrecognisable from when I started.
PatBrum-EI’ve been to a lot of business networks that were lovely, but they felt like a support network rather than a business network. Being in the room Jacquie has brought together has been groundbreaking for me. Running a business on your own can be quite scary and lonely. Knowing you’ve got people in your corner is phenomenal.
HelenaHelena Clare CoachingIt’s lovely being with other business owners in the same room. It’s given us a much better insight on how to grow the business. Jacquie’s direct. No nonsense. She goes straight to what you need to sort out in the business.
AliZenith PAJacquie’s lived it. When she talks to you, she’s talking from a place of experience, and I can get on board with that straight away. It’s stuff I’ve always known I needed to do. The changes in me and my business are quite drastic.
ChrisMetrixAs a creative, you do tend to put things off and get into a bit of a rut. The BGA Club motivates you and pushes you towards your goals.
MichelleMichelle White PhotographyI’ve been able to start stepping away from the day to day and getting time to work on the business and grow it the way I want to. It’s a part of the month I look forward to.
RickyLocksmith FrithBefore the BGA, I was in the business 95% of the time, and a lot of my working on the business was at home, at weekends. Now I take a Friday as my working on the business day.
